Nissan Titan details:
The Nissan Titan was created to challenge the market-leading Ford F-150, Chevrolet Silverado/gmc Sierra, Dodge Ram, and Toyota Tundra. In particular, Toyota had been unable to break into the North American fullsize truck sphere since its 1993 introduction of the smallish T100, and Tundra sales since its 1999 introduction, while good, were still off compared to GM or Ford.
The Tundra hovered just over 100000, units annual sales when the larger Nissan Titan was presented, while the Ram sold 400000, and the Silverado/sierra and F-series sold 900000, annually. During the first full year of production (december 2003 to December 2004), 85920, Nissan Titans were sold, while the Dodge Ram declined somewhat and the F-150 jumped to nearly 950000,. 86945, Nissan Titans were sold in 2005. 126529, Toyota Tundras were sold in 2005.
The Nissan Titan features the 5. 6 L VK56DE V8 motor which generates 305 hp (227 Kw) at 4900 rpm and 379 ft·lbf (514 N·m) of torque at 3600 rpm. The 2007 model has been updated to 317HP and 385ft-lb of torque. It is available in either back wheel drive or four wheel drive with a 5-speed automatic transmission. It comes with a choice of a Crew Cabin with a 5'7" bed or King (extended) Cabin with a 6'5" bed.
