Toyota Venza details:
The all-new Toyota Venza was designed as a car that features the look-and-feel, convenience and fun-to-drive performance components of a five-passenger sedan with the surprising utility of an SUV, explained Bob Carter, Toyota Division group vice president and basic manager. This winning mix will be perfect for active 'boomers' and young couples with small families.
All aspects of Toyota Venza's engineering and layout were targeted specifically for the North American sphere where it will be sold exclusively. Toyota Venza was primarily engineered at Toyota Technical Center in Ann Arbor, Mich. , and developed at Toyota's Calty layout studios in Newport Beach, Calif. and Ann Arbor, Mich. Toyota Venza will be assembled at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky (TMMK), in Georgetown, Ky.
The development focus of the Toyota Venza layout team was to create a new crossover car that shifted away from the more conventional SUV look-and-feel themes that tend to dominate the segment. Calty developers leaned more heavily on a sleek sedan concept with a wide stance that featured a sporty look and luxury convenience dashboard but would also be equipped with hight-priority SUV attributes such as trunk room, towing capability and all-wheel-drive performance.
