Renault Espace

Renault Scenic

For more than 20 years, Renault Espace has stood out as the top-of-the-range MPV benchmark and segment leader. Faced with an increasingly competitive marketplace, New Renault Espace today consolidates that status with a softer layout which remains as expressive and modern as ever. A pleasure in each way, New Renault Espace is available with the 2. 0Dci motor, best in class in terms of performance and driving pleasure, and available in two versions - 150hp (110kw) and 175hp (127kw), both of which are equipped with a particulate filter. With a new sixspeed automatic transmission for the 3. 0V6 diesel motor and a choice of four diesel and three petrol powerplants, New Renault Espace features the most powerful range of engines in its segment. Versatile and functional, New Renault Espace comes with optimized flexibility due to its automatically-attaching sliding back seatings. Meanwhile, the car's improved technological features serve both security and efficiency, with the availability of Bi-xenon cornering lights and the latest-generation Carminat Navigation and Communication System. New Renault Espace goes on sale from March 17.

New Renault Espace has been lightly restyled with a shift to more elegant, modern lines. The new layout of the grille and bumper softens the front, which also features new innovative layout halogen or Bi-xenon headlamps. The vehicle is also available with an innovation never previously seen in this segment: Bi-xenon cornering lights which are auxillary with the Privilège and Initiale levels. A further distinctive sign of New Renault Espace Initiale is the chrome trim that runs between the fog lamps to underline the classic elegance of the new layout.

New Renault Espace's back lights have also evolved. When lit, they are reminiscent of Leds and recall the lines of the front grille and headlamps.

New Renault Espace's dynamic looks are reinforced by its new 16- and 17-inch Primastella wheels, while further refinement is offered by the layout of the new 17-inch Novastella (privilège level), 17-inch Aida (initiale) and auxillary 18-inch Aria alloy wheels. Two new body colors have been added - Lumière Blue and Sahara Beige (exclusive to the Initiale level) - which takes the total number of body colors available for New Renault Espace to 13.
New Renault Scenic heralds a fresh approach to the compact MPV segment. due to its compact forms, taut lines, distinctive back lights and sporty front-end looks, which take their inspiration from those of Renault Mégane Coupé, Renault Scenic exudes a sense of sporty dynamism more readily associated with the world of saloon vehicles.

Renault Scenic's look-and-feel features a blend of fluid and taut lines. Its dynamic appeal is underlined by its three-part grille which, like that of Renault Mégane Coupé, is based on a central air-intake incorporating a smart black crossbar, flanked by two scoops picked out by satin-finish chrome trim. The lines of these scoops carry over to the headlamps to give Renault Scenic's front end undeniable personality. The flame-effect line beneath the headlights continues in the form of the character line which sweeps rearward to further emphasize the styling's dynamic exterior, a feeling which is reinforced by the plunging roofline and steeply-raked back display. The two-part 'boomerang'-shaped back lights are alike to those of new Renault Grand Renault Scenic. However, instead of sweeping forward, they are turned inward towards the boot, a detail which is exclusive to Renault Scenic.

Renault Scenic exudes an unmistakable impression of robustness which is expressed by the curves of its front wings and its back flanks. Wide front and back tracks (1545mm, front; 1547mm, rear) ensure that Renault Scenic sits squarely on the road with its inherent stability. Its proportions, beltline and big door panels also convey a reassuring protective feel.

It also boasts luxury materials and body-panel fit-and-finish. The front and back bumpers discreetly incorporate the parking proximity sensors, while special attention has been paid to the inner door frames. The roof is brazed to the body sides using a laser welding technique which eliminates the need for roof trimming.
